Design of FPGAs

The current sophisticated designs of electronics often take advantage of FPGA components because of their high level of integration, simplified design and the reconfiguration possibility - upgrade of the device firmware.

We have an extensive experience from FPGA designs because we use them often also in our own systems. We mostly focus on devices from Altera, but as we use mostly VHDL language for the design, which is almost independent from any selected manufacturer, we can use also devices of other manufacturers.

In the case of Altera devices, we have purchased some interesting the so-called IP functions. They are libraries simplifying the creation of certain design parts. That allows for their fast inclusion in designs. For example, we can use PCI Express, the classical 32 bit PCI Master/Target, the highly configurable processor NIOS II, or 10/100/1000 Mbit Ethernet, and others.
